Rowse Honey has unveiled a sleek and striking rebrand of its Manuka honey range, designed  to reflect the premium quality of the collection and stand out in an increasingly competitive  fixture.

While Manuka honey is highly regarded in health and premium retail channels such as Holland  & Barrett, Harrods, and Fortnum & Mason, in mainstream retailers it has long been treated  like any other honey. As the number one Manuka brand in grocery retail with a value share of  31% (1), and the first honey brand to have introduced Manuka to UK supermarkets over 20  years ago, Rowse is reaffirming its leadership in the category and presenting Manuka as the  luxury honey it really is.

Rowse Manuka is a rare kind of honey sourced from New Zealand, made by bees that gather  nectar from the Manuka bush. What sets it apart is the naturally occurring compound MGO  (short for methylglyoxal), found in much higher levels than in most other honeys. MGO is  widely recognised as the marker of strength: the higher the number on the label, the stronger  the honey. The result is an extraordinary honey with a rich, deep flavour and earthy notes.

The refreshed Rowse Manuka honey range features a more sophisticated look, including a  matte black textured label and a gold foil Rowse logo, setting the Manuka range apart from  the brand’s core honey portfolio. In addition to this, all SKUs in the Manuka range carry the  Great Taste Award recognition, underscoring Rowse’s quality credentials and category  leadership.

Marine Bourbon, Head of Marketing at Rowse Honey, said:

“Manuka is truly special - it has an extraordinary sourcing story rooted in rarity. As the brand  that first introduced Manuka honey to UK supermarkets, we believe its shelf presence should  reflect its distinct value. This rebrand elevates Manuka’s place in the category, reminding  shoppers of the quality inside each jar.”

Most recently, Rowse expanded the range with a new 50 MGO multifloral Manuka variant,  created as an accessible entry point for consumers into Manuka honey. It is now available in  selected ASDA and Morrisons stores and will be available in Sainsbury’s from January 2026.
