The BRCGS certificate streamlines the supplier approval process and makes it easier for food companies to meet the requirements of the BRCGS Food Standard, while also helping retailers and food manufacturers to adhere to their legal obligations.
The standard specifies HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point), good manufacturing practices, plus the hygiene, safety and quality requirements for packaging manufacturers who supply the food and consumer products industries.
Kingsmoor Packaging’s managing director, James Hill, said: “Achieving a consecutive AA grade consistently over 10 years provides our customers, both existing and prospective, with reassurance of our commitment to producing safe, quality and legally compliant thermoformed packaging products. We are very proud to be awarded the highest standard, which is a credit to the hard work and resolve of our employees.”
This commitment to quality and responsible manufacturing also extends to Kingsmoor Packaging’s Forming a Better Future strategy, which focuses on making plastic packaging as sustainable and environmentally responsible as possible. Today, 50% of the company’s electricity is generated through onsite renewable energy.
Customers can also communicate this commitment through Kingsmoor Packaging’s Made with Solar Energy logo, which can be embossed directly onto selected packaging products, providing a simple and visible way to highlight that their packaging has been manufactured using solar-generated power.
Together, these initiatives reflect Kingsmoor Packaging’s wider commitment to combining quality, compliance and more responsible manufacturing across its operations.
