PestWest, a leader in smart pest control and hygiene technology, has announced the launch of the flyDetect® X, the latest evolution in flying insect remote monitoring systems. Building on the success of the original flyDetect®, the new model introduces enhanced performance, energy efficiency, and simplified maintenance—without requiring any software subscription fees.

Designed for commercial environments where hygiene and compliance are critical, the flyDetect® X provides 24/7 remote monitoring of flying insect activity. The system combines advanced Quantum® X LED tubes with intelligent monitoring technology, allowing users to remotely track trap performance, monitor insect levels, and support proactive pest management strategies. The system can connect to a Wi-Fi network, including via a cellular router or 3G/4G dongle, ensuring reliable connectivity even in locations without fixed-line internet access.

The new flyDetect® X has been engineered to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption while maintaining powerful monitoring capabilities. With customizable alerts, multi-site visibility, and centralized data access, businesses can streamline compliance reporting and reduce the need for frequent manual inspections.

Maintenance has also been simplified with scheduled replacement prompts for tubes and sticky boards, helping ensure consistent performance and supporting hygiene standards. By combining smart technology with low running costs, the flyDetect® X offers a practical and cost-effective solution for facilities that require reliable pest monitoring.

“flyDetect® X represents the next generation of flying insect surveillance,” said PestWest. “It delivers smarter monitoring, reduced power usage, and the flexibility businesses need to maintain confidence in fly control.”

The new system is now available globally through PestWest distributors and partners.
