Forged Spirits, the award-winning craft distillery based in Wakefield, proudly announces the release of its first Golden Rum, a small-batch spirit fermented onsite from Grade A molasses and cask-aged for over a year in ex-Wild Turkey bourbon barrels. 

In a country where the majority of rum producers purchase their spirit from industrial suppliers, Forged Spirits joins a very select group - fewer than 30 distilleries in the UK - who ferment and distill their own rum from scratch. Even fewer, less than a handful, invest the time and resources to barrel-age their rum onsite, a testament to Forged Spirits' commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship, and innovation. 

"Our Golden Rum is a real labour of love," said Gary Ford, founder of Forged Spirits. "We ferment our molasses here in Wakefield, distill with precision, and then age the rum slowly in hand-selected bourbon barrels.
