Cramele Recaș, a renowned name in Romanian viticulture, proudly announces the release of its 2023 Fetească Regală wines under the esteemed Incanta and Sorcova labels. These new offerings showcase the winery's dedication to combining traditional winemaking techniques with modern innovation, delivering exceptional quality and taste.

The 2023 vintage captures the vibrant character of the Fetească Regală grape, a variety indigenous to Romania. With an alcohol content of 11.5% and an acidity level of 8 g/l, these medium dry wines offer a harmonious balance that appeals to both seasoned wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: A lively bouquet of tropical pineapple and stone fruits, complemented by hints of peaches, apricots, and a refreshing lemon zest. Delicate floral and blossomy notes add an elegant touch.

• Palate: A delightful interplay of ripe fruit sweetness and crisp acidity. The wine boasts a soft, round texture with excellent length and balance, making it both approachable and enjoyable on its own or with food.

Meticulous Viticulture and Vinification

Cramele Recaș is committed to excellence from vineyard to bottle:

• Harvesting: A combination of 90% machine harvesting and 10% hand harvesting of estate-grown grapes ensures optimal ripeness and quality. The grapes are harvested and immediately cooled to preserve their fresh characteristics.

• Processing: Grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Pressing is conducted using a low-pressure pneumatic press under nitrogen to prevent oxidation. The juice is then decanted for 24 hours until crystal clear.

• Fermentation: Selected premium yeasts initiate fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled low temperature of approximately 11°C for 20 days.

• Aging: To enhance complexity, 25% of the wine is aged with Transylvanian oak staves for 60 days before being blended back with the stainless-steel matured wine. The final blend undergoes careful clarification before bottling.
