No added sugar choices are a conscious decision for more and more consumers. Capri-Sun is responding to this development with a clear goal: by 2030, the company aims to increase the share of Zero products in its range to over 20 per cent. Since 2018, the beverage manufacturer has consistently reduced the sugar content of its drinks in the standard portfolio and took a major step in 2023 with the launch of the Zero platform to get closer to its goal and meet consumer needs.
The introduction of Capri-Sun Zero Cola and Monster Alarm is a further step in this commitment, providing no added sugar options without compromising on taste. The low residual sugar content (<0.5g/100ml) comes exclusively from the fruit juices used. The new flavours, which are unique to the UK juice drinks market, are the perfect choice for families and children looking to try something different. Both products come in the easy-to-carry, flexible Capri-Sun pouch with a straw that is ideal for bringing fun days out or using for playdates at home.
The new Zero highlights in detail:
Capri-Sun is supporting the launch of its new products with a social media campaign aimed at increasing awareness of the new flavours. There will also be in-store support, including eye-catching displays to disrupt shopper journeys and enhance visibility at the point of purchase.
“We’re thrilled to expand our range of zero added sugar options for consumers with these fun new flavours”, says Rebecca Wilmott, Brand Activation Manager at Capri-Sun UK. “Capri-Sun Zero Cola offers a popular flavour children and parents will love, being uncarbonated and caffeine free, whereas Zero Monster Alarm delivers a fun fruit blend perfect for family adventures. With a monster featured on every pouch, and three characters to find, we are pleased to offer children that carefree moment of delight when they open each box!”
The new Zero drinks are available now in Iceland stores, with further distribution rolling out in Asda, B&M, Farmfoods, Heron Foods, and Home Bargains between March and April. Each pack (4 x 200ml) is available at an RSP of £2.
